Update On the Midway

I am starting this blog to spread the news about the many great things that are happening in the Midway area of St. Paul, MN. We've got a lot happening here - especially in the Raymond/University Ave. neighborhood, where we operate our business.

I will fill you in on new businesses in the area, local happenings and news that affects our area.
I hope to include information on restaurants, stores and interesting people as well.

A little bit about Update Company - We are a second generation family business. We renovate old buildings and turn them into new office and warehouse space. We have worked on 15 buildings over the past 30+ years and are very proud of the work we've done.

Developments continue in Raymond/University Despite COVID

More apartments are planned for 2225 University Avenue (next to the McDonald's)  This is the former site of Paster Enterprises office building.  We are excited to see more density for the neighborhood and more residents to support our local restaurants and retail.

New Development coming University/Raymond

Kraus Anderson is finalizing plans for a large apartment building at Raymond & University. We are excited to find out some retail and commercial space will anchor the street level.  The Raymond Station has really helped to spur redevelopment in our neighborhood.  We welcome the many new residents the spaces will bring!   Let's get started!

Platform Apartments Really Taking Shape!

The construction site is very busy at University and Hampden where the Platform Apartments are under construction.  This is going to be a great addition to the neighborhood - replacing two blighted buildings - turning the corner into a beautiful place to live.   A roof top patio will be a great amenity, as will the underground parking lot.   We are excited for our new neighbors to move in this fall.  St. Anthony Park is really growing - adding many new neighbors close to University.  Hopefully this development will bring a new restaurant!
