Midtown Commons is proud to help present:

Wing Young Huie's

University Avenue Project

The Language of Urbanism: A six-milePhotographic Inquiry

From May to October, 2010 Wing Young Huie's photographs will transform University Avenue into a six mile gallery, revealing the everyday realities of the diverse neighborhoods connected by this urban thoroughfare. Photos will be displayed in store windows, murals and projection screens all along University. At 1433 University each night there will be a two hour projection of photographs on 40' screens plus diverse local music.

Midtown Commons is excited to display eight of the photos at our 2324 University building.

Developments continue in Raymond/University Despite COVID

More apartments are planned for 2225 University Avenue (next to the McDonald's)  This is the former site of Paster Enterprises office building.  We are excited to see more density for the neighborhood and more residents to support our local restaurants and retail.

Congratulations to Dave Anderson!

One of Update Company's long time tenants is awarded a Bush Fellowship.  Dave Anderson, from All Parks Alliance for Change is one of the 2020 Bush Fellows, 24 visionary leaders who are thinking big about how to solve problems and shape a better future for their communities. The Bush Fellowship is an investment in individual leaders. It provides Fellows with up to $100,000 over 12 to 24 months to pursue formal and informal learning experiences that help them develop the skills, attributes and relationships they need to become more effective, equitable leaders who can drive change in their communities and region as a whole. The Fellowship is distinctive in its flexibility, allowing Fellows to articulate what they need to become more effective and agile leaders.

Platform Apartments Really Taking Shape!

The construction site is very busy at University and Hampden where the Platform Apartments are under construction.  This is going to be a great addition to the neighborhood - replacing two blighted buildings - turning the corner into a beautiful place to live.   A roof top patio will be a great amenity, as will the underground parking lot.   We are excited for our new neighbors to move in this fall.  St. Anthony Park is really growing - adding many new neighbors close to University.  Hopefully this development will bring a new restaurant!
